Jeanette - Instructor/owner
i am one of those people who just loves the work that i do, teaching others how to move with ease and to find true posture. i strongly believe that personal mobility can and should be pain free, this is what drives me.
i was introduced to pilates during my time as a classical ballet dancer, this naturally evolved from simply enhancing my own strength and conditioning to teaching. i couldn't believe how my ballet body responded and i was instantly drawn into this incredible method of mentally focused body movement.
my interest in passing on the experience i had so benefitted from led to me gaining a diploma in studio and mat work pilates through the national pilates training program. my experience is now 13 years young and covers teaching and learning from afl teams, personal trainers, rehabilitation (including pre/post surgery) diastasis (abdominal separation) healing, pre post pregnancy and educating at schools for the younger population.
Melanie - Instructor
I started teaching pilates in 2002 just after I left my professional career of 10 years with The Australian Ballet Company.
I had conditioned my body with pilates throughout my ballet career from age 15.
Pilates also helped me to recover from any injuries, strengthened weaker muscles and released tension in overworked ones leading to a more balanced muscle development.
Pilates is the perfect foundation for everyone as it focuses on deep core activation which supports the spine and pelvis.
It's also a mind-body connection which increases alignment and movement, which is crucial when recovering from injuries.
Incorporated with my ballet school in Armidale NSW was a pilates Mat studio called Vintage Pilates ( All things old come back new) It offered strength and
conditioning classes for all dance students and clients of all ages.
After I closed The New England Ballet School in 2006 I decided to do my formal training with Studio Pilates.
I attained all certifications in pilates including Advanced Mat, Advanced Reformer, Band Ball & Circle.
I have worked across all of VIC teaching all styles of pilates including clinical pilates.

Jo - Instructor
Hi! I am Jo. Mother of two gorgeous little girls, living in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. We
left Australia in 2006 and recently returned in 2024 after many fun adventures. I have always
been a soul – seeker, continually seeking connection to spirit, questioning the purpose of
life and determined to not stop until I had some pretty good answers. After realising the
the corporate world was not for me, I travelled to various places on a spiritual quest of sorts, to
meditate and practise spiritual arts. Eventually I studied yoga in India in 2008 after which I
returned to the Swiss Alps to set up a holistic health and wellbeing studio. I did this for over
12 years managing the studio, teaching yoga, and giving massages and reiki. My yoga
practice has very much changed with the period of life that I am in. I studied Ashtanga,
Power yoga before children, then restorative yoga and pregnancy yoga while having
children. And now in motherhood I find a releasing hatha style balances out the busyness of
being a mum. During classes I may draw from several approaches to adapt to the energy of
the moment. My intention is always to quieten the mind by deeply connecting it to breath and
body and to encourage people to find ways to continue the spiritual journey beyond the yoga
mat in class.
Sharlene - Instructor
My Pilates Journey began in 2016 after ongoing back and hip issues. Over a short period of time with professional Pilates guidance and consistency my body improved and started to build strength very quickly. My love and interest for Pilates grew as did the way it made my body feel, pain free, far more agile and gave me confidence again to achieve my life goals, with my 2 kids and hubby. I love connecting with people and i thought how amazing would it be to share this knowledge with others and help them on their own personal Pilates Journeys. I decided to study a Diploma of Contemporary Pilates & Teaching Methodology which i am currently doing with Tensegrity Training. I love the way Pilates has changed my life and it excites me to be able to share this with others. I am a huge believer for my own body and yours nothing is more true than ‘Movement Is Medicine’
Carmen - Instructor
When teaching Pilates, I feel a sense of peace and mindfulness. It allows me to immerse myself in the creativity, being able to help others and the enjoyment of the community connection. I completed the Diploma of Pilates Instructing in April 2023 at National Pilates Training and came across Pilates as a career change from reception/administrative work. I’ve always enjoyed being active, having previously completed a Personal Training Course and being a long-distance runner. I love teaching matwork, group reformer and studio/clinical Pilates
